Real Wedding | London + Adam | May 6, 2022
London and Adam were wed at our intimate Dallas Venue on a sunny May day. London wanted her wedding to be, “relatively simple with a touch of vintage and a lot of nice florals.”
London on Meeting Adam:
We met outside Adam’s old apartment building after a night out. A friend and I were helping a French woman who didn’t speak English avoid a bad situation and find her way home. Adam arrived in an uber returning from his night out. We both thought the other attractive and hit it off immediately. After helping the French woman home, we stayed up all night and into the next morning talking and getting to know one another better. We’ve been together ever since!
What were you looking for in a venue?
A venue with a staff who communicated effectively and were excited about making our vision come true. Sizing and layout (at The Cliff House) were perfect and the overall simple, classic, yet refined feel of the place was great!
What was it like for both of you getting ready that day?
Nerve racking and exciting at the same time. So fun seeing the vision of that day come to life. Lots of emotions going on, but on The Cliff House side of things, everything was perfect.
Where was your favorite location to take photos at the The Cliff House?
Our favorite was the wooden deck/walkway across the parking lot from The Cliff House – our favorite photos are from there! We also took wedding party photos and family photos on the steps in front of the Cliff House and they are wonderful!
We looooved our ceremony. Standing at the altar together was a moment that we will never forget – it was like floating.
The venue looked beautiful and the ceremony was special and incredibly well done. We remember dancing and laughing with friends and family. Our moments were made special and memorable throughout the whole event. Truly a great location.
Our day would not have been the same without our florist Kate McLeod. She did a phenomenal job and I still feel dreamy thinking about how beautiful the florals and greenery were.
We loooved our appetizers and thought cocktail hour was one of our favorite parts of the day!
Everyone still talks about how fun our wedding was. We continue to hear stories that we didn’t even know happened that day! Everyone had a blast dancing, eating, and drinking the night away!
Looking back, what words would you use to describe the day?
Simple, memorable, fun, and sweet!
What has it been like transitioning from being a bride with Boxwood Hospitality to an employee?
It all happened so quickly. I never dreamed that after planning my wedding I would get to help others plan theirs. I find such joy helping couples make their day unique to them. Working for Boxwood Hospitality has only made me love Boxwood, wedding planning, and weddings more. I work with the best, most genuine people who really care about each bride and groom that we get to work with!
Do you have any advice for future couples?
Let yourself enjoy your day – I promise we will take care of the little details!
London and Adam, thank you so much for sharing your wedding day with us at the The Cliff House! We wish you nothing but the best in the years to come!
